Here is something interesting I thought maybe others would like to know. As I am sort of new to this researching, I didn't know it and the rest of you probably already do. CENSUS DAY 1790, 1800,1810, 1820 The First Monday in August 1830-1900 June 1st 1910 April 15th 1920 January 1st 1930-1980 April 1st. This helped explain to me certain ages and birth dates. Pat
Well Pat, I didn't know this either. Thanks a lot...good rule of thumb. And I always try to find the actual date the census was taken to help with the age when a child is listed by how many months old it is.
