    3. Eugene Maupin's work was never printed as such. Some of it had been copied by other cousins, without giving him credit. Some of it was published by William Harris Miller in his "History of Madison County...". Even at that he died before his final work was completed. Dorothy Maupin Schaffett based much of her work on that of Eugene, following his numbering system, etc.. She has given full credit to that work which was included. Bonnie L.
