    3. Hi Sandi, You may already have this, but will share just in case. On pages 202-203 of Dorothy's book, Langsford should be changed to Lunsford. The Maupins and Lunsfords were neighbors and friends for decades, and intermarried on several occasions. James Lunsford was a close friend of my grandpa George Washington Cope, his bunkmate and messmate in the army, a confidant, and was "best man" at his and Fannie Maupin's wedding. Richard Lunsford (Grandpa's brother-in-law) went with Grandpa to get his marriage license. Fannie had been living with her sister Nancy and husband Richard Lunsford near Independence KY for quite some time, until after George's discharge from the army. The above information is from George's military and pension records, and from those of James Lunsford. Albert Melvin Cope P.S. I'm excited over Dorothy's book and can hardly wait to give my daughters their three copies! ----- Original Message ----- From: <SandKatC@aol.com> To: <MAUPIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 11, 2001 11:24 PM Subject: [MAUPIN-L] NEW SITE ON MYFAMILY.COM MAUPIN HISTORY UPDATES > Hi family: > > Instead of having family subscribe to a number of Maupin lists, I've started > a new list for all. > > So far the below family have been invited to join to post their updates that > weren't in Dorothy's book and corrections.
