You might be interested to know that the daugter of of Cornrelius Dabney Mauin that married Rebecca Johnson, Hester Margaret Maupin b. abt. 1831 Augusta Co. VA d. d. 5-5-1871 in Tallahasse, Leon County, Florida. Her husband was John L. McGuffin b. abt. 1823 Va d. 1-1870 Tallahassee, Leon Co. Florida. He was the Postmaster there. Would love to know the name of the cemetery they are buried in. Will you be doing any research while you are there? Their two daughters returned to Augusta Co, VA they were only thirteen when their parents died. Still looking for the families of the two girls.
