I wonder if this Flossie Maupin was "kin" to my g grandmother, Sarah Maupin Stites and her sister who are buried in Grady County, OK?? Sandi, if you recall we corresponded on who might have gone on this safari to Grady Co. OK from Missouri... I know my great grandparents did and her sister who m. a Leach. My father went with his parents, James B. & Sarah (Lemons) Stites, since Sarah (Maupin) Stites was his mother. My Sarah died ca. 1911 in Grady Co. and was buried there. From some family info that I have it appears that my great grandfather made a wooden marker for her grave, which no doubt has been gone for many moons!! So I bet this Flossie was another of the group that left Gasconade Co. MO and traveled to the "unknown" and "unsettled." Ellie Stites Swanger [email protected]

    3. Do you know Flossie's birth and death date (Birth in particular)? Would she have been born in MO? Was Maupin her married name or was she a Maupin (single)?
