Do you know when the parade is each year in Maupin? If we knew far enough in advance, we might be able to drive over from Eastern Oregon. Well it was to late for us too, we went, but only the director was there . It was a 100 mile drive both ways. I am going to try to get some things going for the locals. How ever travel times for people all around the state will have to be considered. I think a week end camp out would be nice. A place where it dont cost too much. I have a list that is not really used much called Oregon Gen on Yahoo we could use just for people who want to discuss Oregon, or you can join my Oregon State list on rootsweb OREGON-L Dan M ----- Original Message ----- From: <mtamboutdoors@att.net> To: <MAUPIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 17, 2005 10:36 AM Subject: RE: [MAUPIN-L] Oregon > Hi Dan, > I just checked my email and unfortunately it's a little too late to go. How about we get an Oregon group or chapter going so we can focus on the Oregon lines? Now since I am not a Maupin, I am not looking at running a new project, but I would like to be one of the group to work on learning more about the ones I am related too. Since my Maupin line was living in Applegate Oregon this is where I want a study to be on Margaret Maupin m Carrel B Matney => An Oregon meet would depend on you people and when every one could be there. Bonnie, I have several tombstone pictures of some of the Maupins buried in Taylor County as I do a lot of research there. I don't have the information that you are looking for (although I do have a tombstone for a William Maupin, b. 1876 and d. 1967 - could this be your Enoch's brother or cousin?) but I am going to go to Taylor County in September if you want to give me any additional info, I will keep my eyes open.
