Cousins: I'm still waiting for the Maupin family draft that James Welch sent to me in snail mail. Once I get it I'll go over it and do any corrections or additions and snail mail it back to him along with the photos all have sent to me. He said I will see a lot more Clay CO Maupincousins he has found than was in what I've sent to him. We'll all gain more information! I sure appreciate your help in this project and am still accepting information and photos. Best, Cuz Sandi
He's black; there's a photo of him if you google his name and click on about the 3d entry down. He must be a black Maupin. When I googled him, it says he's a "Rev." and the next generation of civil rights activities. This is just too strange. I was just in Phoenix and Jarrett B. Maupin Jr. is running for office (didn't write down what office)!! Hi All: Does anyone know the family line for the below Maupin? Curious Sandi WAXAHACHIE, Texas The Reverend Al Sharpton's driver is free on bail following his speeding arrest in Texas after being clocked going 110. Forty-three-year-old Jarrett Barton Maupin of Phoenix was freed on a thousand-dollar bail after yesterday's arrest. A spokesman for the Ellis County Sheriff's Department says a deputy spotted a car containing Maupin and Sharpton speeding north yesterday afternoon on Interstate 35-E, about 40 miles south of Dallas. State troopers stopped the car just west of Waxahachie. Maupin told the troopers he was hurrying to get Sharpton and other passengers to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Hi Cousins: James Welch has snail mailed me his first draft of our Clay CO, KY family. He said I will be surprised to see ALL THE EXTRA cousins I wasn't aware of. Well, that would have to include those other Clay CO families, so I can't wait to get it! I just received more email old family photos today and was thrilled that they will be included. If Clay CO Maupins have photos of old ones, or information, to add, please get those things emailed to me. HOWARD MAUPIN'S section is lacking you cousins up in Oregon. LOL! I will ask James if he'd like the story about Chief Paulina so that something is there. Best, Cuz Sandi =)

Cousins: Due to Dan's email I've put this list back on monitor. This is not the place to air your feelings over what Dan has said. Dan runs a number of lists and knows better than trying to start another fire on the subject of discussing reunion plans here! And, if he feels he can't join the Maupin-Chat to discuss reunion plans, that's his problem. As I said before, once a reunion is firm, we want to hear about it here. Thanks for your understanding. Cousin Sandi
Due to these situations I have decided not to host any more ideas on re unions. Since I believe they are major big time genealogy events and un allowed here, then I have worn out my reasons to be on this list. If some one else decides to have Oregon meets, let me know. I host about 36 lists and on none do I stifle reunion or get together mentions. Been here a long time, now I will just sit and read. Sorry folks, no Oregon meet this year. I cant join more lists, I have 289 on this address alone. Hey Susan, I agree!! Thanks for your comments.
I find all of this rather amusing that a reunion can't be organized and Dorothy Shaffett did it so beautifully ( many times) without a computer.
