I would also like a copy please, Thanks, Nancy Burton-Prateley
It is funny--my father is a Clay County Hubbard--it is a small world!
I would like 4 books for sure and possibly more. I definitely want a copy of the Clay County book. Gwen
Gwen, Willma isn't headed your way, is she? Norma --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
Sandi, I have other Clay County families but I have most of the info on my Allens, some on Hubbards, but would like more on Reed/Reids. Fifth grant grandmother was supposedly 100% Cherokee. I have been to Cherokee, NC many times but didn't have the slightest idea they were in my mom's lineage. Norma --------------------------------- Yahoo! James is the hero since he is so dedicated in getting Clay CO families on record. I wish all presidents of county historical societies in all states were the same! My mother asked if we had any other Clay CO, KY families and I asked why? She said she hoped not since I need a rest! LOL! Cuz Sandi
Thank you Sandi, You have done a great service for us as is James Welch. I can't wait to get it. Norma --------------------------------- Yahoo! Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free.
Hi Cousins: I've emailed Mike already in regard to his Maupin/Fisher info. I snail mailed all the Clay CO, KY Maupin photos, 67 or so, and the info to James Welch this Tuesday for his next book. I thank all of you who donated information and especially copies of valued family photos. There is still a little bit of time to email me copies of old photos and/or information. As is, we will all have lots of photos to enjoy. Photos are so important, I feel, in our genealogy as they give life to names. And, it's fun to see what the family looked like back when. As soon as James lets me know the cost of the book, I'll pass it on. I asked him to try and keep the cost around $20 or $25. He thinks he will only have 100 copies printed. I have a list of 20 cousins, so far, who want a copy. Loren Adams, Bert Clark, Bonnie Arnold, Bonnie Huth, Don Havlicek, Donna Maupin, Gwen Stuart, Jackie Miller, James Donald Maupin, June Sanders, Mary Sletten, Michael Fisher, Nancy Vertz, Norma Nungester, Robin Sliger, Ruth Townsend, Sharron L. Smith, Vicki Ross, Madge Haney and moi. If there are other cousins who would like a copy please let me know now as there are other families in the book, though ours will be the largest, and copies will also be sold to their descendants. For you non-Clay CO Maupinites, you might want a copy of the book to learn more about your John Maupin~Sarah Crossthwait cousins. If I get enough names, I'll give James the total number so he can then decide if 100 books are enough. He usually donates 10 copies. Best, Cuz Sandi
Sandi: Did you get the MAUPIN/FISHER family list I sent you. also I have a real old photo I'm trying to verify. thank you Mike
Hi Cousins: I'm working on Maupin photos now for the book James Welch is next compiling. I've checked his draft and filled in blanks where possible and had a few corrections. This draft also added cousins I didn't know I had, to my FTM. Once I get the photos done and finish typing my section over for James (it was in the last book under my Garrard family) all will go in the mail and I can again relax! He is going to be out of town as of tomorrow and will be back to KY on the 14th of this month. I will send all of this stuff to him on his return. Now, HINT, HINT, if any Maupins from the Clay CO, KY families have any info or old photos they'd like to email me I'd be pleased. I do have lots of photos but there are really never enough when one is looking at them! Cuz Sandi

I would like to talk to Bert Clark about Oregon Maupins. Please respon to cmichael@intergate.com Thank You Mike Fisher
Hi Bert: THANKS SO MUCH for the photos of Howard and Nancy Maupin of the Oregon Clay CO, KY Maupin family! I appreciate this so much! I will soon get all in order. James Welch emailed that he will be doing his second draft of the Maupin information around 14 October. That will give me time to get the photos and information sent to him. Any other Maupin Clay CO, KY info will still be accepted with a smile. Best, Cuz Sandi

Hi Cousins: I have a few more weeks before I send more information and the photos to James Welch, for his next book, so if you have any other old photos or information to send, please do so now. Best, Sandi
Dear Sandi, I once again tried to send a photo of my mother to you. It is of her when she was in her fifties. Did you get it. It's so frustrating to scan and send stuff that's never received.
