    1. George Willis Maupin and Tennessee Maupins
    2. Kimberly Flick
    3. My quest really goes to generations prior to the Tennessee Maupins and beyond but this is what I'll start with. I've got a gap in my Maupin line that seems to be focused on Tennessee. The gap has to do with documentation and actually connecting the family. George Willis Maupin is reported to have owned land in the Boones Creek/Gray, Tennessee area. His decendants received this land and I think some may still live on what is left. One son, Jacob, ended up in California after his son, Charles Willis moved their with his family. Another of George Willis' sons was William Conrad Maupin, well known in the area for his ministry and church planting - Hale's Chapel and Boone's Creek being among two of the churches William Conrad is responsible for. That being said, I contacted the Tennessee State Archives and was told that George Willis' name did not come up in any of the land records searches. I'm hoping someone can help me know where to look now. I know that George Willis' father is William Jarman Maupin but I can't confirm that. I know that George Willis is Jacob Maupin's father. I just cannot connect this section. Please let me know if anyone has suggestions as I'm kind of stuck for documentation. Thanks! Kimberly Flick

    1. Armour Maupin - Court Records from 1930's
    2. Alan Maupin
    3. Armour is my Grand Father. He's a man I never met and I was curious about his life and times. I spent quite a bit of time and money acquiring these record and I'm offering them up for a nominal fee. The records include 167 pages of court documents. Keep in mind, Armour was 50 years old in 1933! The following is a list of cases involving Armour during the early to mid 1930's. 1. Divorce: I never realized that a divorce could contain more than 20 witnesses for either side. This was the epitome of a nasty divorce case. 2. Malicious Shooting: Seems that Armour was not happy with his father-in-law. I was surprised to see that after serving three months of a six month sentence Armour was pardoned by the Governor of Kentucky himself. And, you will not believe why! 3. Murder: This includes the appeal, and you know what an appeal means. Complete transcript of witness testimony. You can draw your own conclusion as to the balance of justice applied in these cases. **************************************************************************** ***************** TRANSCRIPT QUOTE WITNESS TESTIMONY: "I just heard them talking and Mack grabbed him and the shooting started." TRANSCRIPT QUOTE ARMOUR'S TESTIMONY: "and this other fellow came out and I just went to shooting." **************************************************************************** ***************** SUMMARY OF TIME PERIOD AND EVENTS COVERED IN THESE RECORDS April 1933 Marriage - Armour was approx. 50 yo. June 1934 Sentenced to 6 months for shooting at Father-in-law Sept 1934 Pardoned by Governor of Ky Dec 1934 Armour was a daughter 19 months old - wife is pregnant with due date June of 35 Jun 1935 Wife filed for divorce Nov 1935 Mack Jordan testified for Armour's wife at the divorce hearing Nov 1935 Divorce decree - alimony awarded Dec 1935 Mack Jordan shot and killed by Armour - Christmas Eve June 1936 Murder Trial Dec 1936 Appeal **************************************************************************** ***************** Please contact me directly at the email address below if you are interested in purchasing this information.
