    3. Bill: Guess I'm a little dense. Is the below note from you or Quality Inn? If it is you, when will you be at the Quality? And you said, "call the room" - what room? No matter who wrote the note, it's great that arrangements are being made to get all of us from the airport to the Quality. See you soon. You have been doing an exceptional job and the apple butter etc. sounds great! 1. [MAUPIN-L] Reunion Items
    2. MAUPIN REUNION 2000
    3. Good Morning!!! Time is getting near will leave for Virginia this week. On Saturday, the days events at Mt. Moriah Church will included an applebutter making festival. For those of you who do not know what this, I did not know until I moved to Virginia. They will take fresh apples from Maupin's Orchards, peel them cut them up, cook them in an large kettle over a wood fire for about 12-14 hours adding spices. Then it will be jarred in quart jars which will have labels I have especially printed for the Reunion. The labels read "DANIEL MAUPIN HOMEPLACE APPLEBUTTER" White Hall, VA., a list of the ingredients, and the name of the makers, Freddie and Leslie Frazier. On the back label it gives a brief history of the Maupin Homeplace. There will be approximate 141 quarts made and will sell for $5.50. If any are left I will try and bring a few back to Missouri for the June, 2001, Reunion in Fulton. Also, will have plenty of stamped, cancelled envelopes, and booklets also at the Missouri Reunion next summer. Another White Hall "favorite" is chedder cheese from a "wheel of cheese" Have ordered a 20# wheel of cheese for the Saturday event. Oh, yes, we will be having "Maupin's Apple Cider" also. Fresh apples will be available for those who wish to purchase them. Hamburgers, from beef raised at Mt. Aire Farm which was part of the original grand to Benjamin Brown. Later this parcel belonged to Pleasant Maupin of the Gabriel and Ann Ballard line. The 19th VA Company re-enactment group will give a gun salute to Daniel Maupin. Two musical groups will perform on Saturday also. A gospel quartet from Free Union made of two Maupins and two local people and the Doyle's River Blue Grass Gospel Band will play. Dan Maupin will take people on a short tour of Mt. Moriah Church, a brief history of the Church, the Maupin Homeplace and White Hall will be given also. William

I enjoy reading information on other sections of the family, basically the old stories and those can be added to the Maupin Board bio page to share. I'll be interested in learning how your site is doing in several months, Phyllis. Good luck! Best, Cousin Sandi :)

    3. Sandi My information is free. You are always welcome to anything I have and so is everyone else. My information is gathered from other Maupin descendants as well as my own so it is certainly not private. I am more than willing to share any information that I have. I am a descendant of Mosias Maupin (John Downey Maupin). 3. Yes, I have thought the same thing in regard to creating the supplements to Dorothy's book -- MyFamily.com websites set up for each child of Daniel and Margaret would probably work pretty well, as GEDCOM files could be added as well as other items of interest to that particular line.
