OOPS- guess I should proof-read a bit better! What I meant to say was- Does anyone KNOW anything about Pleasant W. Maupin?! Sorry, Linda
Hi, Does anyone parents, birthdate, etc. of Pleasant W. Maupin? The only info that I have is that he married Mary Jane Batten ( also spelled Batton) in Albemarle Co.,VA on 26 Feb 1852. I am a descendant of the Gabriel Maupin- Anna Ballard line, but I don't have him in my file anywhere. Mary Jane Batten b:1830, was the daughter of John Batten and Julia Ann House ( who I also descend from). Thanks, Linda
Hi Ann, Thanks again for ticket. I will be there Thursday and my sister is coming in late Thursday night. We certainly plan to enjoy this trip and to meet as many Maupins as we can. Hopefully you will be among them. Norma Ann & Glenn Bittner wrote: > Hello again, > I really should reaad all messages before I send replies. I don't care > about payment. Just hope you enjoy it all. Hello, You are welcome to the ticket. Reason I was trying to find out info on the time of the luncheon is that I have a niece who lives nearby and wanted her to join me for the luncheon if she could. I had originally purchased three tickets and offered one to you. I will have the other one to give up if she cannot meet me for lunch. If it is at one o'clock, she will be able to make it, but earlier than that and she can't get there. Hope to get a chance to meet you and do make sure you get the ticket!!! Have a safe trip...... Hi Cousins: Our Maupin picnic in Santa Barbara was great! The weather was perfect! It started out a tad chilly but really got warm in the afternoon. The others who went are all from the Thomas Maupin~Judith Cobb section. Did we have fun looking through what I took in a binder and what they brought! Thomas was a son of John Maupin~Frances Dabney. My line goes off to the line of Thomas Maupin to John Maupin, Sr.~Sarah Crossthwaite, another son of John Maupin~Frances Dabney. Unfortunately, they didn’t recognize my mystery photos, a lot less than they had, nor did I recognize theirs! Bummer. But, those people are so very friendly and like to talk, just like moi! It was like we’d all been in contact all of our lives! The Maupin coat of arms flag really went over! My daughter did most of the painting of the crest and got DUE credit! We talked about having another Maupin family picnic in the Spring, possibly in some part of Los Angeles CO, CA. We do need those who would like to go to send dates they think they can go and where they’d like to have it. And, the Maupin flag will again fly at the next picnic. So, knowing some of you lucky cousins are going to the VA reunion and that the holidays are coming up, I’ll post the message a few times more on the list, hoping to get a few responses to “where and when” here in Southern California. Best, Cuz Sandi MAUPIN-L

__________________________________________________________ ***** Bill, I had to cancel a room at Quality for Fri. and Sat. nights as son-in-law and grandson won't be attending. They may have already rebooked those rooms but it's something to check on. Max Gail Maupin-Rolla Missouri (Also: if there's trouble with space on Friday night and Saturday for the festivities, I paid for two extra and they might use those. Just a thought. ________________________________________________ >You wrote: > > >Hi William, > > > >I though I wasn't coming. SURPRISE!!
