Good Evening Group!!! I will post in January or February complete details about the June Reunion. I plan to block rooms in order to get a special rate and will check the airlines for bargain fares from major hubs. Will check with Amtrak to see if they stop in Fulton. All of the items we had at the Virginia Reunion will be available at the Fulton Reunion. Will even try and get a wheel of cheese shipped in for those who liked it so much. I will have new items available also. Several items that I did not get finished in time will be available. Have not got a good count but have several hundred of the envelopes with the cancellation on them. Have a new item, suggested by the Postmaster, it is a 100% cotton page with the name of the reunion at the top. Then the slogans of the Reunion. 300th Anniversary and 300th Birthday. down the right side is the date of each day of the Reunion in the color of the name tags for that day on the right is a stamp with the cancellation with the date for that day. This will make it possible to have all three cancellations with each date. These will sell for $2.50, only have about fifty of these sheets so they will not be available until the day of the Reunion. Will have ten quarts of applebutter. Will hold lottery for them. Plenty of Directories, Programs, Williamsburg Programs, and other booklets. Pictures of the Reunion and pictures of the stones. I even have a tape of the music played by the group at the Saturday White Hall meeting. It will be Maupin Reunion 2000 "revisited". Hope to have a very large turn out. The George Washington gun is scheduled to be there and several of the Maupin guns as well. If Julian Maupin comes, will ask him to bring the famous tea kettle. Norma--That is a great idea of printing off the book list and having a nice neat copy of everyone's email address. Who would object to that? I'd like to do it myself. Thanks for the tip! Denise

Hello all, I talked with Nancy yesterday morning and she is sending me the bible that she purchased. I believe that it is my great Aunt Grace Maupin's bible. She passed away Sept of 1998. She never married and the state of CA was executor or her estate. Nancy told me that she got the bible from someone in CA (Nancy correct me if am wrong) over the internet. I am sure that this person probably purchased the bible in a box of other things at the estate sale of my great aunt. Grace Maupin was very eccentric to say the least, she was a private nurse for many public figures and Hollywood stars. I never met her, unfortunately, but when I was born she sent me a silver baby cup. Grace is the daughter of George F. Maupin, son of Charles Morris Maupin. I descend through Grace's sister Myrtle. I am certainly appreciative that Nancy wanted this bible to go to its "family". Thanks again Nancy. Good Evening!!! This Malissa Maupin is probably related to John D. Maupin, son of Dabney Maupin and Sally Dennis. John D. Maupin b. 8-22-1825 was born in Clay Co., Ky and died 4-18-1913 in Grady Co. Oklahoma. His wife was Mary Jane Williams b. 2-2-1834 Clay Co, died 5-20-1898. I cannot find her in my records but remember there are many people in this John Maupin and Sally Crosthwaite line that are yet to be found. Thompson had no children, neither did James, as far as we know now, some of William Bailey Maupin, John Rice Maupin's brother, was there I think. The brother Callum died early, and I have not been in contact with any of William Overton Maupin's family or line. If you need any additional information, please let me know.
