Well maybe you would know some of the information that I am trying to pinpoint out. I know Gabriel and Marie came from France and brought with him the Gabriel Jr. then he married and had another Gabriel. This one married someone named Dorcus Allen, they had about 15 children. Sandi: As you will recall, I ordered three of her books, one for each of my children. However, the response was so large and many people did not get on the list, that I only sent Dorothy the money for one book explaining that I wanted to be sure that everyone got a book. I also told Dorothy, should she still have the other two books remaining, that I would like to purchase them. I know that you did the list for this book and I certainly don't want anyone thinking that I am shirking out on the books that I originally ordered (3). I would like to have all three books, but want everyone to have an opportunity. I hope that this will not cause any problems for anyone. So, after all of this spiel, do you feel that I did the correct thing? I don't want anyone to be upset over my only taking the one book, as I certainly will take all three books. Hi, yes I started with me and my siblings and my parents and their parents. We are all stuck after our grandfather, Frank Maupin. Some spelled the name Moppin, or Moppins. His father was suppose to be George then we are all stuck. They are mostley from Kentucky at my beginning. We have to be somewhere! Hi, one relative after another has sent me tree's of the Gabriel and Marie Maupin from France. We are my dad, Jess W. Maupin, his father Frank , his was George Washington Maupin. Some have that we come grom George and Augusta then George and Ann Moffatt then Gabriel and Docus . I have really not found the proof of this that I want to find, documentation of it would be nice. Hi Cousin Linda: This book is called THE STORY OF GABRIEL AND MARIE MAUPIN - Hugeunot Refugees to Virginia in 1700. It is based on research gathered by Dr. Socrates Maupin (1837) and was continued from 1919 - 1944 by Eugene Maupin. After that it was compiled and expanded by Dorothy [Maupin] Shaffett and was first published in 1993. It is a good research resource. I bought my copy in 1993 and it's always near me when researching our Maupin family. What is your straight family line?
