Hi, would someone that received Dorothy's book check and see if they have a listing for Frank Maupin b. January 13, 1883 in Owen Co, Ky his father was suppose to be George Washington Maupin b. 1857? You might try the census in California or even Colorado as there were dormitories of gold miners---lots of men living that way. Pat
On page 231, bottom paragraph Carr Maupin is referred to incorrectly as son of Robert and Mary MeGehee MAUPIN. I believe this Carr is the son of John and Frances Dabney MAUPIN as noted on page 231 "Carr(25)". I have listed John Dabney Maupin (born 27 July 1814) as Carr's son until I can prove otherwise. Dear Group. Can anyone clarify the dates of William Maupin and his two marriages? I have first to an Alberta Plowman b. 1876 in Estill Co. Ky. Married in 6-7-1894 Estill Co. Ky. To children Maude Mae b.1895 and Banford b. 1-16-1900, I have second marriage to Orlena Shelton , Aug. 2, 1899 in Lelay co. Ky. at the home of George Shelton. There were 5 children born to this marriage, my grandfather Sherman born July 6, 1900, George, Emma ,Pearl , and Bertha. Does anyone have different dates? I have William and Orlena's marriage cert. and Shermans SSI papers for those dates. Appreciate any help. Jackie Miller
Fleming C Maupin is listed on the 1850 census for East Fork,Jo Davies C Illinois page 218 line 109.. His son, John conlee Maupin is listed in the 1880 census for Eureka,Eureka Co Nevada, page 20 (81-16?) on June 7th 1880 house 211, family 194. I think you will see his name as Mauper Pauline
