And, you don't dare complain to Rootsweb because Myfamily.com/Ance$try.com own Rootsweb. When Brian sold Rootsweb it was just a matter of time until all the information on RW was absconded for their own usage. That's all I'm going to say about it. Sandi
Amen to you William!! Keep up the good Fight!! Brenda Clark Albemarle County, VA
Hi Cousins: Now I've got the picture. I say we just wipe out the info on the sites, if possible and we'll go back to telling each other on this rootsweb site (also owned by the same people!) what we have and we can privately email infor and photos back and forth. As Bill Albertson said, how are we to know that those people don't take payment from more than one person on each site? Best, Cousin Sandi Carter

Good Evening!!! Just ran across this in some of the material Dorothy gave me: The Virginia Genealogist Vol. 27, No. 1, Jan-Mar. 1983 pg. 50 British Mercantile Claims 1775-1803 P. 144 William Maupin, Albemarle 12.5.0 Pounds speciality. The principal sum & part interest has been paid. The present claim is for war interest. It appears from the findings of the Jury in a suit brought for this debt that the interest was deducted by them. William
Good Evening, Group!!! I just called Ancestry and told them I would not renew my subscription next year if they continued to "take advantage" of the general public. If each one of you will call 1-800-Ancestry and complain perhaps they would get the message. I had a very unpleasant experience with Ancestry just two weeks ago. I got an e-mail from some Guy at Ancestry asking how I like their site, so I gave him an ear full, told him that they were changing the web page every two-three weeks and it was only getting worse. I told him to leave it alone. Well, in two days I got a nasty note from the same guy telling me to send my complaints to another e-mail address because he did not take complaints. If he did not want to know then why did he ask my opinion? I called ancenstry and really gave them the riot act. William Albertson [email protected]
I know what I will be doing to my MYFAMILY site this evening!! Removing every D*** scrap of information, every photo that I have loaded! Thanks for the information! I needed to remove it anyway! I never log on to it anymore, especially since I printed out everything. Have a nice weekend. It is my opinion that all this information is collected and sold thru their company anyway. What was freely given or given among members. I have never heard of anything being pirated from other sites, ie: egroups, etc. And it seems to me that if the sites were owned by a family member there and set up with protection that no fees by one member or more need ever to collected and the information is still safe Think it over. It was their "hard" decision. Why do some good things still have to be spoiled? Good Morning, Again!!! How do you know that they will not collect the fee from several members of that line. If ten people offer to pay the fee will they refuse the money? I think not!!! These companies do not play by any rules as we have seen for some time. Do we know where this information on Ann Daniel is cited?? The source?? Thank you!! Brenda Clark Albemarle County, VA
I show her as the dau of Gabriel Maupin and Mary Spencer. Mary Julia Maupin and Jacob/James Pressnel children were: James who m. Ann Daniel, Daniel Pressnel, Jacob Pressnel and Gabriel Pressnel. This is from research over 30 years ago when I was showing OUR Gabriel m. Mary Spencer, not Marie Hersent. Now I'm not sure how or where this info fits in. I have the Pressnel line thru Clarissa Pressnell b. 1805 NC who m. Uriah Hicks if anyone is interested.
