Judith, I'd buy that theory. One note - Clement's will was written in December of 1778 and in it he wills these tracts of land to his children. So he must have come in possession of them before then. If there was a land transfer then it must have occurred between the time that Edward's will was probated and the time that Clement's was written. Paul Mattingly Atlanta, GA
