Does anyone have any evidence that Clement, son of Thomas III, was married to Mary Spalding? I have seen reference to this marriage but I can't seem to find a source. This Clement died in 1780 but does not name a wife (presumed dead by 1780). He does list several children. HEM spectulated that there may have been 2 Clement Mattinglys during this time period, one in SMC and the other in Ann Arundel County. The one that was in AAC was definitely married to Ann Burton Coyle from at least 1728 (Clement and Ann are executors to Elizabeth Coyle, Ann's mother) until 1774 (Clement and Ann Burton are listed as sponsors for the baptism of a slave). Can anyone help? Paul Mattingly Atlanta, GA
