I'm in communication with a descendant of Elias Mattingly, born about 1844 and a son of Henry Mattingly and Celia Knott. Because of the name Elias, it seems logical that this family would be connected with the Cezar line or from Joseph Mattingly and Hessina Hinton. Both Joseph and Richard had descendants using this name so I'm speculating Henry was somehow related. Does anyone have any ideas (no matter how wild) as to who they speculate Henry may be related too?
