>From what I can tell, the majority of information on one of Joseph's daughters is fairly accurate. That was Edythe Sarah. Joseph and his wives are questionable, at least in my mind. It may be that he married each of these three women but I still haven't seen absolute proof. I carry him married to the three pending corrections or evidence just so I'll have him and the data in the files. With 1st wife Helen Higgins married about 1787: Thomas 1788 Melinda c 1789 Richard c 1790 married Mary Elizabeth Smith (? Maybe?) Edythe Sarah c 1793 married c 1815 to Joseph Thralls Edward c 1796 Mary c 1798 Benedict c 1799 (seems he and Ann Nancy would be children of 2nd wife) Ann Nancy aft 1800 With 2nd wife Sarah Brewer married 1-25-1799: Anna Marie married Lewis Cissell on 6-28-1814 (at age 15/16 ? Maybe) James B. abt 1802 Lewis Jane With 3rd wife Elizabeth Hagan married 6-13-1812: Joseph c 1814 married Nancy Ann Hall on 4-18-1837 I have also seen reports of a child named Elizabeth Ellen, born about 1793 with Elizabeth Hagan but if Joseph didn't marry her until 1812, then this child would have to be a daughter of Helen Higgin's. I mention this child in my notes but not in the child list because Edythe Sarah was also born about 1793. Hopefully exposing all this will help make some corrections. ***************** >Will you list the children? >>Paul and all; there's some confusion surrounding Joseph and his wives. >For >>example, I have seen reports that he married three times - first to Helen >>Higgins with whom he had 8 children (don't know which County), 2nd to Sarah >>Brewer in Washington Co. with whom he had 4 children; and 3rd to Elizabeth >>Hagan in Nelson Co. with whom he had 1 child.
