    3. Tricia, I have a total screw up on this marriage, and Mary Ruth Bye is NOT to blame. I have two documentations for a Mary Mattingly married to a William Fowler, both stating the 1776 date, so I entered the dates etc without looking at Mary's birth date. I can only presume that there are two couples with the same names, and I have placed this marriage incorrectly. The sources are: 1. CATHOLIC FAMILIES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND, O'Rourke, p. 35 "1776, Feb. 19, William Fowler and Mary Mattingly" (St. Mary's County, Maryland) 2. THE MATTINGLY FAMILY IN EARLY AMERICA, H.E. Mattingly, p. 206, (from Fr. James Walton's Diary) "1776 Feb. 19 Mattingly, Mary.............St. Mary's Md. William Fowler" You know the old saying, "The devil's in the details". Well it looks like I didn't let a little detail like a birth date hold me back. Please correct the error, and don't ANYBODY tell Mary Ruth I put this out under her name. :) Judith Burger ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rev.
