I have Ignatius Mattingly, son of Thomas II, as having three sons, Leonard, William and Luke who migrated to Kentucky. Leonard married Mary Hayden; William married Catherine Spalding [and had 2 other wives]; and Luke Anne Nancy Cissell. I have never seen a wife for Ignatius other than a Sarah _____. Father Burkey's Luke is given as th son of John, son of Cezar, son of Thomas I, the immigrant. John married Grace Brewer. I do not know who Cezar's wife was, and I have no documentation to support the statement that this Luke was the father of Barton or Bartholomew Mattingly.
