William, etal I have no idea of where William Mattingly, married Teresa Gertin, 9-30-1827 in Gallatin County, Illinois fits into the Mattingly Picture. Do you think Irena was a 2d wife of William, or another given name of Teresa??? I believe our only differences are in generations. And, I would love to know where William fits into the Mattingly family, or whether he is from Cezar of Thomas II. I have William and Teresa [Gertin] Mattingly having a son Charles William Mattingly who married Nancy Mattingly on 26 May 1866, the 10th child and daughter of Martin Mattingly, Jr bc 1835 who married Martha Ladd. Martin Mattingly, Jr. was the son of Martin Mattingly, Sr, who married Helen Thompson on 19 Feb 1824, and Martin Mattingly Sr as the son of Leonard Mattingly, Jr and his wife Ann Nancy Cissell. Martin, Sr was also brother of William C. Mattingly who married a daughter of Joe Monarch.
