Copies of the notes re the Missouri Mattinglys went in the mail today to Judith, Loretta, Sarah, Charlie and Brenda. Some cautions: I did not compile the notes, nor do I know who did. I've inquired through the person who gave them to me, but am thus far unsuccessful. I have no reason to question any of the information, BUT I'd like to know the source for having Barton as the son of Luke and I'd like to know which Luke we are talking about. Who was his father? When and where did he go in Kentucky? Someone has said this Luke was son of John son of Caesar a.k.a. Cezar That Caesar's John had a Luke seems clear enough to me. BUT How do we know that the Luke who alledgedly had a Barton (who settled in Perry County) and Luke who was the son of Caesar's John are identical? Peace and All Good! Fr. Fr. Blaine, I await the arrival of the 11 pages with unbecoming anticipation. Thanks for taking the time to photocopy and send them. These old notes often contain some small clue found nowhere else, and maybe, just maybe they will contain the key to unlock one more Mattingly mystery. It might not be the resolution of the one we are seeking, but in the long run may lead to something just as interesting. Thanks a million. Thanks too for your detailed line of descent. You are now the official cousin to my 5 kiddos, 12 grandchildren and one great grand daughter. One can never have enough kinfolks . : ) That's my motto.
