Raphael2 Mattingly1, born Bef. April 12, 1767 in St. Mary's County, Maryland1. Notes for Raphael Mattingly: I found this entry in The Western Maryland Genealogy, a 8 volume set of indexes, which has a rather prominent section called Frederick Co Indentures. There was a Louis Matinly, orphan age 15 y 15 Jan. next, to Jacob Knouff, shoemaker, to age 21. Wit J. Young, Geo. Baer, Jr. 31 Dec 1795. There was also a Raphael Matinly, orphan age 17 y 4 May next, to Henry Kolb, shoemaker, to age 21. Wit: J. Young, George Baer, Jr. 30 Dec. 1795. I'm not sure who these boys were but more than likely brothers.
