    3. John Mattingly and Mary Ann Wimsatt also had a son named Raphael but I think he was likely too old to be this one. As I recall from when I saw this on Ralph, I believe he was said to have been a student which would imply a younger man.     3. Seems like Raphael, the son of John Mattingly and Maryann Wimsatt, died in 1832 in Daviess County. Wasn't there some court case or something? And you are right he was born about 1807.
