Finally! I found my James & Susan as MATTINGLEY on the 1860 DC census, along with 6 children, ages 4 months to 13. James is 27 and Susan is 28. Would these children be hers, theirs, or belong to a relative & they're just "keeping" them for awhile, I wonder. (Susan was married once before to a DOTZLER or DUTZLER.) The 3 children I'm looking for weren't born until 1865 - 1870. These are the same 3 children who show up in Pennsylvania (1880) with their mother & step-father Asbury VERMYLLION. Any ideas where to look now? Thanks for any input. Lynda Snider
