3. I just visited the Mason Co. KYGenWeb site to see what they had for Mt. Gilead Cemetery. It was marked as "New!" It does not list these "un-earthed?" 24 headstones, but does list quite a few Mattingly people, including Malinda. If anyone is interested in seeing that site (there are a few photos, as well) this is the URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymason/mtgilead.txt Rhonda, you may wish to send Marla McCullough (Mason Co., KYGenWeb Coordinator) the new stones to add to the cemetery's listing. The site is at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymason/mason.htm John G. West Descendant of Margaret Mattingly (d/o James Barton Mattingly abt. 1764 - abt. 1833) married in Breckinridge Co., KY to Joseph O. Lewis at St. Theresa Church on 01 Jan 1843. Margaret died between 17 Nov 1844 (birth of her only child Susan Apalone Lewis and 21 May 1846 (Joseph's next date of marriage). Margaret has been mentioned as being of the Cezar Mattingly b. 1854 line, but I have no proof. At 10:01 AM 8/1/2004 -0600, you wrote: >Dear List, > >There has been a major clean up of the Mt. 3. I am looking for a lost website. Does anyone know what happened to it or where it moved? Pat Place's GenWeb Page - Mattingly This seemed to be a very good Mattingly database. John G. West
