Buried at St. Ambrose Church, Union Co., Ky., is Jesse L. Mattingly. His tombstone says he was b. Feb. 14, 1893 and d. Oct. 22, 1918. According to his Army record, Jesse, was from Henshaw (Union Co.) and was born Grove City (also Union Co.). He died during the flu epidemic at Camp Zachary Taylor, Ky., while in training. Person notified of his death was Elisha C Mattingly, a brother, of RFD 2, Morganfield, Ky. Does anyone know who Jesse and Elisha's parents were? If so, please share.
