The M S Mattingly in the 1880 Daviess Co, KY census was Martin Spalding Mattingly, son of George Mattingly and Sarah Miles. Martin Spalding Mattingly married Annie Belle Morland, dau of Jesse P Morland and Mary Unknown. I will post this to the group and hoping you don't mind just in case other Mattingly researchers are looking for this one as well. You have added some information I had not picked up on the siblings of Annie Belle Morland. I'm related to all the Alvey's in Daviess Co who all descend from a Henry Alvey b abt 1785 in St Mary's Co, MD. His sister Susannah Alvey is my GGGGgrandmother.
