I regretfully can't provide any proof but from what I've seen, Andrew and Eliza had a son named Andrew, Jr. born about 1822 that married Malinda Eubanks. This couple had at least one child named George Washington born about 1847. My reasoning for this is that on the 1850 census the 68 year old Andrew is still living with his wife, Eliza and 28 year old Andrew is living with Malinda, almost next door. I'm not sure whether the younger children residing with the elder Andrew are his and Eliza's children or grandchildren. Eliza was 48 at the time but still within childbearing age. There is also a 25 year old Elijah Mattingly living with Oliver and Amanda Clark that could have been another son of the elder Andrew. **************** I need help, I've managed to confuse myself. This goes back to the time of John Townley Mattingly, He had a son, Andrew b. abt. 1782. Andrew married Eliza who was b. abt. 1802. Now my question is: Did they have a son named Andrew b. abt. 1822 in KY who married Malinda Eubanks 6/1846? or did the first Andrew marry a second time to Malinda Eubanks? Appreciate any help.
