There is a Mattingly website in England Matley and Mathley are listed as Hill farmers most of the definitions of the name is MAT as hill and what ever is after is the description. What is the research on the town of Mattingly , I was wondering if any one took it to do a write up in this and the Mattingly as being the ship builders for the Queen of England. Matney also tells the story of 3 or 4 brothers coming here, and some one else was telling me their Matney people came from Lebanon , I have wrote him another message to see what I can learn from him, he dont write much.
