Hi Ralph, The article says that slave Isaac was born in 1844 and at the time he was sold he was 7, brother Louis was 9, Ambrose was 5 and Eddie was 2. The year must have been around 1851ish. I will have to look for them in the 1850 census and learn what county they were living on the banks of the Green River. The Kentucky Explorer Magazine does have a free section online. The address is http://kentuckyexplorer.com/ . They usually run a years worth of some of their stories online. I just checked and they are up to April 2001. Keep checking back and I believe that they may have this story online. It's a great little magazine.
