    3. Hi Mattingly Genealogists, I would like to announce a recent addition to the Mattingly message boards on Rootsweb.com. A recent transcription of the DEED OF CONVEYANCE OF TWENTY ACRES OF SARUHM; MAY 9, 1872; CHARLES COUNTY, MD; B. HENRY MATTINGLY & MARY A. MATTINGLY VS. FRANCES YATES was added to the message boards. This transcription was made from the original court documents by Dennis Jack Hubscher of St. Mary's, MD and verified by Thomas V. Hubscher of Apex, NC. The original copy was good and in fair condition, and the writing was legible. No corrections of any kind were made. The lineage of Benjamin Henry Mattingly is as follows: Benjamin Henry Mattingly Henry L. Mattingly (Original purchaser of Sarum) Zachariah Mattingly, Jr. Zachariah Mattingly Ignatius Mattingly, Jr. Ignatius Mattingly Thomas Mattingly II Thomas Mattingly I Sarum Manor is located in Newport, Charles County, MD. Henry L. Mattingly purchased Sarum Manor for $15,000 on September 9, 1853. The manor is no longer in the Mattingly family. Future postings made by my Father and I will include more information on Sarum Manor, including the deed that shows how it came into the Mattingly family. More postings will be made including other deeds, birth/death certificates and photographs. Photographs would include pictures of Sarum and recent pictures of Mattingly Headstones in MD. These postings will be available courtesy of my Father, Dennis Jack Hubscher, Husband of Rosemary Lee Mattingly. My Father has been performing some great research on his family and my Mother's. We recently discovered that my Great Grandfather Adrian T. Mattingly died in West Virginia and not Maryland, as we originally thought. If you have any information on Adrian, my Father and I would greatly appreciate it. Included with our postings will be attached copies of documents. I think this is a great way to share copies of original documents and family pictures. Hopefully, others will feel the same way and include copies of their documents when posting information in the future. Thank you, Thomas V. Hubscher Dennis Jack Hubscher, Sr.
