I believe that was a James Mattingly who applied for the pension and that he had a brother named Thomas. ************* Been trying to fill some loose ends here.The info on James Mattingly and Margaret Cash is giving me some trouble. On the pension application of John Baptist Mattingly he states he has daughters Nancy 34,Massee 18 and son Lewis 28.My copy was hard to read but couldnt find a James listed. The 1790 Fairfax,Va census has a John Mattingly with 3 in house. I dont have access to the Spinks Bible.Some on Rootsweb have different children for John.How did this James get placed with John Baptist Mattingly? Mary
