Pat: Do you know where that Benedict fits into the Mattingly Picture. I believe we had at one time that John Baptist Mattingly who died 1759 married a Spalding. John Baptist was supposedly the son of John, son of Cezar, son of Thomas, the immigrant. However, if the son of the John Baptist and Benedict was born circa 1758, he would be over 70 when married. So I must be chasing the wrong line of Mattinglys????
