I'm wondering if anyone has seen the following site? www.hudson-tech.com/genealogy This site states that Barnett/Bernard Mattingly, son of John Baptist Mattingly and Ann Spalding, had a son named Benedict. Barnett's wife was Priscilla Cash and that seems fairly accurate according to all I've seen. Benedict's first wife was reportedly Elizabeth McPherson and that also seems correct. I know the 1820 census shows Barnet with two sons under the age of 10 and the 1840 census shows him with four sons: Two between ages of 20 and 30; one aged 5 to 10; and one under age 5. It is obvious that Benedict could have been one of the boys under the age of 10 in 1820 and between the ages of 20 and 30 in 1840 as Benedict was born about 1811. Benedict's second wife was Martina Downs.

William, I checked out this site today. It has a lot of info on a lot of things. I also checked some of the other surnames that are in my database and they all are accurate.
