Just one note on this thread: The source of the Wm. C. Mattingly m. Miss Monarch, dau. of Joe Monarch, was Family Geneaology of Leonard Mattingly by CC Mattingly. Father Lyons' papers refer to this as "The Mattingly Manuscript." Both are found in the Filson Club. CC Mattingly was a Louisville attorney circa 1900, who descended from Old Leonard's son John. Like Judith, regarding this alleged marriage, I think CC (Columbus, I think) was mistaken. -- Ruth M. > -----Original Message----- > From: Burger [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, August 09, 2001 7:19 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [MATTINGLY] William Mattingly died 1832 > > > Ralph, Bob and List, one reference to the Girten lands can be > found in the > Will of William C.
