    3. Don't remember exactly where I found this data (my wonderful logging system) but I found where the Administrator of George's estate was John G. Gates. Beneficiaries were listed as: Jno. R. Lancaster, I. M. Queen. Jno. Moreman, James M. Mattingly, F. K. & J. M. Mattingly. and it was dated 9-6-1859 (must have been the probate date as the death records gives George's death as 7-31-1859 in Daviess County. This George might appear to have been George Austin (at first glance) at least during the census of 1850 of Daviess County. This George Austin, however, reportedly died in Indiana in 1885. The other George there during 1850 was George Washington. I can't find a James M. with either of these George's so we must be looking at one from outside Daviess County originally, who died there in 1859 and had been married to Catherine Miles. I can't place this George any better than I could place James M.! ********************* >I found this J. M. Mattingly.
