    1. Re: [MATTINGLY] William Mattingly d 1817
    2. William R Mattingly
    3. I have the same info as everyone else I suppose and William, Jr., born 1794 I believe was in Perry County, Missouri and reportedly died there on 3-10-1844. His wife Catherine Elizabeth Manning Mattingly is there on the 1850 census and in the home with her were children, Simeon, Louisa, and James. I know next to nothing about William's (died 1817) 2nd wife except that she was reportedly a daughter of Joseph Clark. I have that her last child, John Clark, was born in 1810. Could she have died shortly thereafter, and William perhaps married a 3rd time and named a second son William? I agree this is a reasonable path to explore. *********************** >Dan and Ralph, I'm glad you think this may be a line worth pursuing.
