Notes for JOSEPH SCOTT MATLICK:BEGINNING WITH JOSEPH SCOTT MATLICK THIS FAMILY IS LISTED WITH THE SURNAME MATLICK >>> <curtw@comcast.net> 3/22/2004 3:40:22 PM >>> Joe I finally got a chance to go down to the Gloucester County Historical Society to check the Thomas Chalkley Matlack microfilm for more information on Joseph Matlack, son of Timothy Matlack and Hester Eldridge in Virginia. All he had on Joseph was the name. Perhaps there are some Wills or probate records in Virginia that would help prove or disprove a connection between Joseph Matlick and Joseph Matlack/Matlock. While I was looking at the tapes I came across the following comment about Medean Matlack, son of John Matlack and Ann Furguson. "Medean married a woman in Virginia, he was a shoemaker and went about and it is thought he is now deceased." There are no dates or other information on him.
