    3. Good Morning Sherill Here is the site: http://www.ba044ancestry.com/ There is a long explanation as to why this test only works on male of the surname, but I understand that some of the new test are for women. The cost is not all that much and one test is good for the who family group. We are trying to encourage as many as possible of all groups whether Matlock, Medlock, Matlack or Matlick to scrape their cheek for the good of the family. The South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee families are already link... Check it out and see what you think... And why is it just the men? As for male descendents of Smith 1 I know several very well and can put you in contact with ones from Smith 2. You have said it all. He is the last one. When goes (not soon I hope) the line is gone. Tell him unless there is another, his family line dies with him... It is a totally painless procedure..you just brush the inside of your check like you were brushing your teeth. >>> "Dick and Harriet Preston" <preston@cablelynx.com> 3/15/2004 3:05:44 PM >>> I have a cousin Austin M. Matlock, 83 years old, who is probably the last Matlock male in the Smith 1& 2 line. Technically he is probably the cousin one remove or another of a lot of us, at any rate I have talked to him several different times about doing the DNA testing and he says that he is not interested. A match from him would tie the Smith group to you, Joe, and to the others with matches. Does anyone have a suggestion I can use that might change his mind.
