Thank-you Winnie for putting the info out there... 1. John MATLOCK, Sr. page 23 .... ( pg 80 in Journal) possible son of Wm. MATLOCK and Mary HANCOCK died 6 Jan 1718 .... me. 1st Ann died 1699-1700 me. 2nd 1701 Margaret died 1708 >From James City Co. VA to New Kent Co. St Peters Parish Records used. A poss. 3rd marriage? His will said his new wife was Anne Boy What I wouldnt give to find John Srs Will! For the only Records and Hints we have ran across on John Sr are the St Peters Parish Records Showing that Ann died 1699-1700.And Possibly the idea that John and his second wife were the parents of "William of 1702" Roger Medlock who lives in VA and no longer online...went to New Kent Co And searched the Parish Records, and he came across Thomas Matlocke who was mentioned where he was having a son William baptized on Oct 10 1689, (Saint Peters Church of New Kent Co Parish Register, pg 21) Of Course over the years the debate on the Spellings has been an Issue.. The Question of is Mattox/Maddox the same as Medlock.. Matlock.. The Date Death date of Jan 6 1718 And I believe the wife Margaret may be coming from the Parish Records as well.. For there is this: 1699/1702 Saint Peters Church of New Kent Co Parish Register Sarah Daugh of John Madox baptis. ye 27 Sept, 1702.
