He is listed on the Laurens, SC. 1880 census: Occupation: Farmer Newton was buried December 02, 1920 at the Woods Chapel Cemetery in Paragould, Greene, AR. Newton's marker is either buried or indecipherable from weathering as to make it unlocatable." This notation would seem to resolve the site of his death.
