Well, Joe, if the pedigree is correct, then I need to find the children of "John" Moore Matlock of 1683 to find Samuel of Edgefield's father? This will be an interesting evening - refreshing myself on all the early Medlocks/Matlocks to see if that blows Benjamin Medlock's assertion his father was "foreign born". Or, horror of horrors, there was a "false paternity" somewhere along the line. Egad! NOT IN MY FAMILY ;> What got me totally buffaloed on this is my husband's kit results matched perfectly with a different surname, yet when I asked about it, I was told that it could just be a "coincidental match". Hmmm.... And I thought Mendel and his peas were hard to understand when I majored in horticulture. Piece of cake compared to this. Janet
