Joe and Claude First Joe I was reading your reply to Claude. As you stated Col. Timothy Matlack married first Ellen Yarnell on 5 October 1758. He married second Elizabeth Claypoole on 17 August 1797. Elizabeth was the widow of Norris Copper, a sea captain. I have seen Copper spelled a couple of ways but I believe Copper is the correct spelling. Here is the record of Timothys marriage to Elizabeth. Database: Pennsylvania Marriages to 1810 1797, Aug. 17, Copper, Eliz, and Timothy Matlack. Now Claude A search on Google for Timothy Matlack will provide a lot of information on Col. Tim, including a couple of portraits.
