We think there is a connection but have not been able to connect. One grandson is from Jonathan Berry and the other is from Robert Carrol who married Josephine Vaughn (Vann?). Abt the same time her brother William C Matlock appears in 1870... hes age 33 shows he was born in AL.. Well Looking High and Low for Mary Matilda and William in 1860 and 1850.. I believe I have found them, I think that John Matlock.. Son of Littleberry or Charles died or deserted his wife, who I believe is named Josephine? (dont Know her maiden name)... I believe that There was a mistake on the 1840 Census and that a dau born abt 1835 should of been marked.. Anyway..
