They had to have married after Dec of 1850 and 2nd Mary? (Newton is married three time his last child being born only 6 years before his death. Here is what I have on him: 1. He is buried in the Woods Chapel Cemetery, Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas.. He married (1) EMMELINE AMANDA HILL 1848 in Laurens County, South Carolina ?. She was born 1831 in Laurens County, South Carolina, and died 1865 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He married (2) NANCY ELIZABETH FANT 1870. She was born 1842 in Alabama, and died 08 March 1897 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He married (3) JANIE MORRISON 1899 in Preston County, West Virginia. He is listed on the Laurens, SC. 1880 census: Occupation: Farmer Newton was buried December 02, 1920 at the Woods Chapel Cemetery in Paragould, Greene, AR. Newton's marker is either buried or indecipherable from weathering as to make it unlocatable." (This notation would seem to resolve the site of his death. He died of emphysema. Emma was retired from the Emerson Electric Co. and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Emma died of Adenocarcinoma of the colon. Commodore and Emma are buried at the Pinelog Church cemetery in Brookland, Greene County, Arkansas.
