Edith (Edy) Strange married Zachariah Matlock 12 APR 1780. Isom Esau Matlock was their first child. There are several disputes about which Zachariah Matlock was the ancestor of this line. I believe that having a child named Elizabeth Strange Matlock kinda nails it down. Don't you agree? Lem Children of ZACHARIAH MATLOCK and EMILY PAINE are: i. However, I do not have a Nancy listed on my computer so I don't know if they had a Nancy or not. I do know that the Zachariah in TN had a daughter Nancy. She did not marry a Prince... So if Lee-Anne has information that says that the daughter of Zachariah and Lucy was Nancy that married Prince. Then we need to check this out. Or find out from her if she has documentation that backs up her statement... I have the Zachariah of 1759 son of John and Ann South who married a Wash had a daughter Nancy of 1784 who married a Prince...and Zachariah of 1756 son on Moore and Emily who married a "Paine" and had a daughter Nancy of 1805? who married a Vaugh. As your information below then I have either confused the Nancy's or if there is only one did she have two husbands, which I doubt. If the Zachariah who married the Wash is in Caldwell county, as your information says, then the former option is true and the Nancy's are each shown with the wrong set of parents. > > Thanks Again > Joe Matlock > > >>> "Wanda Albers" <[email protected]> 02/06/01 06:55PM >>> > Lee-Anne > > I found some handwritten notes in one of my folders that might give you a > clue.
