Native American claims are addressed in two ways. Each of the Federally recognized tribes have a very good website that addresses these concerns. one is Paper work starting with the Dawes Roles and now DNA. Look at FamilyTreeDNA or Ysearch.com. I believe testing is now available that will indicate your Native American descendent. It will not prove her heritage only that a Native American line is mingled with yours. If you get more proven descendants involved then you can begin to exclude other persons as being Native American. Looks can be deceiving. Old photos may give indications but unless they are well documented they are indicators and not proof.
