Hi All, This morning I checked again the South Carolina 1800 Census. I found the following. Matlock John house 269 Greenville county one male 45 and older (this has to be John Sr), one female under 10,one female 16 to 26 and one female 26 to 45 (this would be John's wife). Matlok Nathaniel House 270 Greenville, 2 males under 10,1 male 10-16, 2 males 16 to 26, and one male 45 or older. Medlock Catharine 271 Greenville (this is the wife of John Jr) 2 males under 10, 1 male 10-16, 1 female under 10, 1 Female 10-16 and 1 female 45 or older. Notice house 269, 270 and 271. We know that John and John Jr lived on Mountain creek so the other person (Nathaniel) almost had to be kin to them, also he is appears to be about the same age as John so he could be the brother of John.
